Start of the new year!

I hope everyone had a great new years!

I started out the new year by:

Losing my car keys. Or rather just having them disppear in thin air.

Having a horribly messy room

Getting drunk

and

going on a date.. and getting drunk.

Ha!

So far so good.

New years eve day was spent shopping with my mom and of course Miss Ev. I had my gift cards that were burning a BIG giant hole in everything. I NEEDED to spend them. (Well, not need but I really, really, really wanted too)

I bought a couple cute shirts, a pair of blue pants (I don't even know what color they are but they are CUTE) Ev got a matching pair in her size :) because, yes I am one of those moms.. ha and some new shoes!

Ev got herself some new boots and a couple new shirts too, that lucky little devil.

My mom basically told me I had to go out for new years, she also stated I needed to get drunk and have fun. I was taken back by that..because she never tells me to get drunk lol but word to the wise, Always listent to your mother!

I was really worried I wouldn't have anything to do new years eve. I had forgotten it was even new years eve. I had new years eve AND new years day off. I was invited to go to the Tavernacle bar with Venyce and Michaun, I was invited to hang out with my friend Kristen, and I was invited to another party. But in the end I decided I stick to plan 1, the tavernacle. And I'm glad I did!

I love the Tavernacle. Its a lot like Keys on main (they're both piano bars for those who don't know) But the Tavernacle is smaller, and has better drink prices, and well drinks too. If you haven't ever tried a grape popsicle (not a literal grape popsicle) You NEED too! SO yummy.

So I had a couple of those and the show was fun, it was a nice time. After the bar we went to denny's but I was SO tired. So I went home and slept.

New years day, I just spent the day at home.. and went on a date :)

I haven't been on a date in a while!

I was VERY nervous but also very excited because I met him in a pretty cool way.

I posted this thing about cute EMT's forever ago. Partly because there is always one very cute one that I see. I've had my eye on him for quite sometime now..

well he brought a patient in the other day and I was way excited. He's very kind and quite handsome. So I was talking to my co-worker and saying how I thought this guy was cute. Sadly he left quickly so I couldn't talk to him. But as fate had it he had to come in to get a signature from a nurse. So we talked a minute and it ended with him asking for my number!

We talked from that day on and went out yesterday!

It was a really good time too. We went to sushi, which I have never had and I liked it a lot actually (I was afraid I wouldn't) Then we went to Brewvies and played pool, which I'm not half bad at until I drink beer. And we saw Django, unchained. It's a pretty good movie, kind of gory.

All in all it was a really good date. He's not the type of guy I'd usually go for, but maybe that's a good thing?

Who knows where it will go, but for now it was just a nice time with a nice guy!

I was rally nervous about because it was with someone that I didn't know, and someone that none of my friends/family know. So it was starting from scratch. No pre-conceived notions. Which is good, but also scary. All I really knew about him, is he has a job. lol

but it was a nice way to spend the new year!

On our date though, a guy stopped him and told him something. I asked him what he said and I guess he told him "Good job, brotha" in regards to me. Haha WTF.

As I expected though, returning to work after the new year has been CHAOTIC. It's been so damn slow but I knew after the new year we'd get busy. Why? Because everyone and their damn resolutions. Plus theres no more parties or family things to deal with or holidays to think about.

I did not expect chaos though.

We had some lady who I guess had come in at 10am to get her daughter out (who was not discharging) they would not release her so she had called the police and the police told her the same thing. Then she waited around ALL DAY literally ALL DAY. Not only did she wait here but she STOOD at the front desk counter and wrote notes.

She had a meeting at 3:00 and then once the meeting was over, she sat at the desk for a couple of hours writing notes. Making me copy and stamp things saying they've been received. While she talked about how she's her own attorney and weird stuff like that.

I noticed this as a crazy behavior. I could tell that she's not well either.

They even talked about getting her admitted because she is so weird..

All I can say was, I was UNCOMFORTABLE.

I can't say that she really does have mental illness but either way her behavior was very, very, very abnormal. She made everyone extremely uncomfortable and wouldn't for the life of ANYONE leave.

but she finally has left and I can relax.. phew..

but it's been one heck of a day and I cannot wait for it to be my day off.

I really need to put clothes away..

and clean..

but I can't bring myself to do it dammit!
