Ev had her first road trip! I was dreading it to be honest, Ev isn't always a happy camper. She has a temper and being stuck in a car with her for hours with 3 dogs, myself and my parents. (a Nissan altima to say the least) sounded like pure HELL!
good news: it wasn't hell. Ev likes the car and she was happy for the parts she was awake. She only had ONE freak out there and it was because she was hungry, and it was dark and she couldn't see me. but she soon fell asleep and that was that. We got there at like 11:00 pm. (we left after work) so we were all exhausted! I was terrified for night mostly because Ev's slept two places in her life. hospital and home. crazy, huh? Plus she isn't the best sleeper. She actually has been a good sleeper for the past couple of months but she got her 6 months shots which changed her sleep habits a bit. So i figured she's freak the F out. Nope.. out like a light and stayed that way! phew.
Obviously I have anxiety over stupid little things. Maybe I do need medicine because the anxiety prevents me from going places and doing things because I'm anxious over everything. buuut back to the original story..
So that was good, we woke up the next day and did a morning routine. My grandpa and step dad went golfing (of course) and us girls, my mom, Ev and my grandma were left to do whatever. Obviously we had to mind the dogs.. they were freaked out because they have only been to the st George house a couple of times so we didn't want them to spaz out too much and be gone all day. So we went.. well, shopping of course! We went to good old target! Where I was able to get Ev some Easter stuff. They have that dollar aisle which I LOVE. I'm a cheapo sometimes and since Ev really doesn't understand stuff like this, I just got her some fun little things. Like rubber duckies for the bath! or whenever. She loves them! and an outfit and a swimsuit :) super cute! haha
Then we went back to the house and hung out. Which seems boring and stuff but it wasn't. They have good cable and sometimes its nice to just, do nothing. Somewhere other than home. I love my grandparents st.George home. (it's their vacation home essentially) I'm so comfortable there. I would move there in a heartbeat if I could. but then I'd have like, no one to hang out with, no job, and no babysitter. so.. well.. maybe not a good idea. Plus I'd miss a lot of people but it would be nice to be able to go to wal-mart without worrying about who I'll see! but I'd die in the summer. seriously die. Its effing hot as hell and my red-headed self couldn't handle it haha.
but day 2 everyone was home, again we didn't do much. I did go the mall for a minute. I bought some cute tank tops from American Eagle. I wanted a lot of other stuff too but I'm trying to be careful with money. I've been such a spending nut lately and I need to SAVE. especially if I'm getting a new car. but the tank tops were 5 dollars each.. can't pass that up!! Then we got yummy Mexican food dinner. yum :)
day 3.. my grandpa and stepdad went golfing again lol they went to mesquite. So we decided to go to the old part of st. george to look around the neat little shops they have. First we ate at a cute little diner called the black bear diner. The waitress commented on how good Ev was! Ev just sat there and smiled and played her toys quietly! After that we went and walked around. We went to one of my favorite stores in st George called "urban renewal" its like a consignment shop in ways but it has some new things. Well I found the cutest cupcake keepsake jar thing. It has a tiny cupcake that goes inside :) then I found a shirt that said "Evelyn's tavern" Uhh I HAD to buy it. Even though I'm iffy on used clothes. lol especially from people I don't know. but it was a sign. So I bought those. Ev was a good little girl and slept. haha That night my grandma and mom went to mesquite to gamble.. me being 20 and a month and a half away from being 21 couldn't go. Plus What would Ev do? haha So I stayed home with my Missy pants. She napped and I watch some weird anti-Mormon talk show with my grandpa and step dad and ate pizza. Don't get me wrong my family is no way anti-Mormon, I'm not anti-religion what so ever but this lady on this show did prove some facts. Then we watched the Jazz game. My family strongly thinks I need to marry Gordon Hayward.. haha. fat chance.
Then today, we left :(
the car ride home wasn't as great. My dogs were FREAKING out. Ev slept and was happy once again. Ughh the dogs stressed me out. But here I am home once again, with better Internet access.. Stupid T-mobile. which is a good but bad thing all at the same time. Maybe one day Ev and I can get away from this town..
here's some pictures from our time there!
