Day 11.

Something I hate

Well I hate, hate! I know I say hate a lot but I'm meaning brutal ignorant hate. not "I hate spaghetti" type hate but more like "i hate Asian people" hate. Or hating something because you can't understand it. Like being gay. To me people hate things because they fear them. They don't get it so instead of looking weak and saying they fear something, they claim they hate it to look tough. I don't hate gay people or other races because they haven't done anything to me and they've done nothing wrong to society (besides others beliefs) now on the other hand I hate shitty drivers because they mess up my commute. See the difference?

I read a really good quote yesterday. Its kind of religious which isn't my usual forte but I liked it

"in a sense I like the Mayan concept of God because it makes God appear more like a real parent than a despotic version of a 50's sitcom father. God loves us, wants to help us, but keeps fucking up. but yet each time he fucks up, he learns a little bit more. God, like us, is not perfect, but his heart is in the right place."

I like this quote just because. I heard it on yet another amazing blog of which I'm going to recommend.

janisjourney.org
this blog is so amazing. Its written by the father of a girl named Jani. Jani is a young girl who was diagnosed with severe schizophrenia. She experiences psychological disturbances in 4 out of the 5 senses. Schizophrenia is very rare in children (it usually onsets at young adulthood) so resources for children suffering from this is hard to come by. This family has experienced a lot of trouble trying to find help and care for their young daughter and they are looking to get her story out there. Her father is an amazing writer and the way he explains her story is very honest and open. This is such an amazing story and I would totally refer anyone to this blog.

Make sure when you go to check out the "old blog" that's where it begins :)
