Day#17 My favorite memory


Well my favorite memory has to be summer 07. Yes that whole dang summer was the best! That summer I had no job and really no worries or responsibility and I was only 16. So I decided to spend the summer at one of my favorite places: diabetes camp. It was my year to be a CIT (counselor in training) and I was excited because I have been looking forward to this for years. I was suppose to only go for a couple days of 1st session but I was needed to be a counselor starting that week, which was fine with me! We started CIT training and I was upset because I didn't know anyone, they were all newbies which sucked, the only person I knew kind of was Kate. Luckily me and her decided to stick together and it turned out to be a great friendship. My first week my Co was Sarah. I didn't really like her from last year but as I got to know her, of course I did. We had the youngest cabin and if I can remember our campers names they were: Romey, Hayley, Alyssa, Kaylee, Heather, Becca, Jessica, Megan, Ashley, and I can't remember the last one. They were all so cute and so sweet and this was probably my best cabin! We ran into some issues like squirrel in the cabin and severe sunburns, but other then that it ran as smoothly as butter. well 2nd session started the week after, so it was tough. But Kate was my co this week which was AWESOME. Our campers were kaylie, kayla, Mackayla, courtney, and I forgot the two others but that week went okay.. it kind of sucked in other aspects but camper/Co wise it was awesome! I got to go home for a couple of weeks and then I went to my favorite week of all time, teen week! That year we had so many awesome people there! In my cabin I had: Kate, Shelby, Chelsea, Brigit, Kamry, Diamond, Jen, and some other girl but our counseler was Natalie! I spent most of my time at Talia's cabin with Nikki and Venyce. I LOVED the week, nothing can explain how awesome that week was! I wish camp was still like that, because everything about that week rocked... no week has yet to top it, in my opinion. we went boating, we mud wrestled, we went and saw transformers, we had an all night poker party, we just did so many fun and cool things! too bad its not the same anymore. Well after that I had another couple of weeks to be home, then it was off to 4th session! this week was cool because this is the week that everyone comes to! My CO was Venyce which was cool at the time because we were both good friends. we had the second to oldest cabin, Which honestly sucked because our cabin was at the top of the mountain. But our campers were cool they were: Brynnleigh, Hailey, Alex, Paige, shay and one other girl.. but that was a fun week, we did run into some trouble in places but it was still fun! That summer was just a blast, I made so many good friendships and awesome memories. I miss that summer more then anything and I wish that I could go back to that..
